Your lifestyle, your quirk
I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to my makeup and beauty routine, but I discovered the Benefit Brow Bar at Macy’s about a year ago, and have been a making it part of my beauty regime even since. I have been trying to go religiously, which is at least once a month, but even if I don’t make it, it’s been a big help in keeping my eyebrows under control. I may step up my visits, because when I do my own upkeep I have a bad habit of getting a little carried away with the tweezers, but the Benefit gal always puts me back on track.
On my most recent visit, I’d stayed away for a little longer than I usually do, so I got the full treatment as if it were the first time. Sarah scolded me a little for over-plucking, mapped out my brows, performed a little artwork with a pencil, and had my brows back in shape in no time. While she was at work, she suggested I might be interested in a product called Pore-fessional. I must have rolled my eyes a bit, but I was actually impressed she noticed my skin, and when she offered to try it out on me I said yes.
I gave my speech about not wearing makeup very often, but she giggled and pointed out the fact I could wear it alone and I would be “amazed.” The Pore-fessional website says: “Pore-fessional quickly minimize the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula complements all skintones and helps makeup stay put. Contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.”
After Sarah put the Pore-fessional on me, my skin looked and felt smooth, and looked much clearer after just a little bit. It felt light, and my favorite part is it can be worn alone. I didn’t grab a tube that day, as I wanted to see how the product managed for the rest of my day, but I will be making a trip back to the bar to add this product to my practically no makeup beauty routine.
