Victoria Justice Shares Her Beauty Secrets
Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice looks all grown up and absolutely stunning on the cover of Self magazine’s July issue. The 19-year-old looks older (in a good, mature way) in the sunny shots showing her in two colorful summer outfits.
You may recognize Justice from her current Nickelodeon show Victorious. If you haven’t seen it, the Self photo shoot just might convince you to tune in.
Justice’s interview in Self addresses her thoughts on beauty, style, and confidence, and how she maintains all three so well. The actress-singer shared her number one beauty tip, saying, “Don’t be afraid to play up your natural beauty. Natural is always such a chic look. Plus, it is so great to let your skin breathe.”
She also offered some natural ways to appear made-up without having to spend a penny or apply a drop of make-up.
“If I have no time to touch up, I get a natural glow by pinching my cheeks 10 times really hard.” She quickly added, “Well, not so hard that I bruise.”
On days she does wear make-up, she says removing it all before bed is a vital beauty “secret” for her. Again, she insists on the importance of letting skin breathe.
Justice even takes her natural beauty approach to her nails. “I don’t want to have to change my nail color whenever I put on a new outfit. I usually choose nude, because it matches whatever I wear.”
Recognizing that not everyone is as drop dead gorgeous as her, Justice tried to empathize and offered, “When I don’t look my best, I detox with raw foods and lots of water. It makes me feel better.”
The former Zoey101 star also recognized that her youth helps her flawless, fresh-faced appearance as well. “I’m only 19, so I’m not super concerned about aging. But my mom didn’t drink, smoke, or tan while growing up, and she looks great. I’m following her plan.”
Justice first started garnering recognition in her role as Lola Martinez on Zoey 101. After three years with the show, Victorious was created in order to feature her singing and dancing talent as well as her acting. She has also starred in the Nickelodeon movie The Boy Who Called Werewolf, which was a notable hit, drawing more than 5 million viewers. All the while, Justice has been writing and recording her first album, which is set to release sometime this year.
Justice’s star is certainly rising, and we look forward to seeing what she will do next.
