Miley Cyrus got all tangled up in a social media controversy earlier this week. The Instragram user “mileyxxcyrus” posted a picture of a young blonde with short hair smoking what looks like a joint. While the majority of the girl’s face is obscured by smoke, some people thought it was Cyrus.

The Instamgram user’s page can no longer be found – the link says something has gone wrong. A quick search for the username using the actual app reveals similar usernames, but not the actual account that posted the picture. Read More »

Oh, the trite rumors and whispers that make up pop culture as we know it. The whole business runs on buzz and bullshit. The press is fed a rumor, they turn into a story, and then that story gets turned back on the celebrities it may have been about…and then when those celebs go about addressing it, they validate the story into actual existence, and thus, the cycle starts and only perpetuates itself, more and more.Read More »

There are many reasons I would never want to be a celebrity, but the invasion of privacy is easily the number one reason. The spread of Internet availability seems to have contributed greatly to the public’s interest in stars’ lives beyond their careers, and the gossip rags have expanded. Stars can no longer do simple things like walk their children to school or go grocery shopping without being photographed by paparazzi in the never-ending quest for a “money shot.”  Read More »

Has anyone else noticed that Justin Timberlake’s latest look has him looking strikingly similar to an older Hollywood hunk currently in the spotlight for his role in Les Miserables?

I’m talking, of course, about Hugh Jackman. I never would have thought of Timberlake and Jackman in the same sentence before, but I remember seeing seeing a picture of Timberlake’s pre-Super Bowl performance last weekend and thinking, “What is Hugh Jackman doing up onstage with a guitar?”
