American Horror Story Recap: “Nor’easter”

Last night’s episode was another busy one and, after turning on the TV to nothing but storm footage all week, it was refreshing to turn on this show…about a giant storm hitting the Northeast. Oh wait, it wasn’t refreshing at all – not that the show creators can be faulted for the ill timing. In any case, maybe it made the episode more relatable?

The episode begins with Mrs. Channing Tatum still running from the Bloody Face. Adam Levine makes a miraculous – but short-lived (literally) – comeback. I won’t give it away, but the first few minutes are super-creepy.Read More »

I was a little delayed in watching Beauty & the Beast last week, so sorry my recap is late, folks! From the preview I thought the episode was going to mix things up a bit, but it was actually just more of the same. Catherine shows up at Vincent’s warehouse a bunch of times besides being repeatedly warned of the danger and asked not to; Vincent stalks Catherine from the shadows; and Vincent’s roommate continues to develop an ulcer over their carelessness – at least someone has half a brain.Read More »

Happy Birthday, Henry Winkler!

According to the IMDB, Henry Franklin Winkler was born on October 30, 1945, in Manhattan, New York, to Jewish immigrants.

Since the actor is most well known for his character the very cool Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli from the sitcom Happy Days, it’s hard to believe according to IMDB, Henry grew up with "a high level of low self-esteem."

Following high school, he received a bachelor's degree from Emerson College in 1967, a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama in 1970, and later an honorary Ph.D. in Hebrew Literature in 1978 from Emerson College.Read More »

The couples not only danced to a song each celebrity considered to be their guilty pleasure, but they also participated in a first-ever Freestyle Team Dance. Seeing what costumes each character on The Office wears is almost as highly anticipated as the rest of the Halloween episode. Pam is dressed as Dr. Cinderella (to set a good example for her princess-obsessed daughter). Erin is a puppy, Andy is George Michael, Dwight wears a pig snout. Nellie dresses as “Sexy Toby.” Jim doesn’t dress up because he has to attend a lunch meeting for the sports marketing company he plans to join. The TGS writers are going crazy because of a huge group of very relaxed, not-so-classy people camped out in front of 30 Rockefeller Plaza waiting for Jenna’s appearance on The Today Show. They’re all fans of Jenna’s latest single, a Jimmy Buffet rip-off called “Crab Catchers” that’s about doing trashy things on vacation like getting so sunburned that your skin scabs over, and catching crabs (both ways).
