The Multi-Talented Tina Fey

in category of TV, Audra Rundle, celebrity news

Tina Fey is undisputedly one of the funniest women in television. However, her photo shoot for the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine shows that she is also one of the loveliest. The 42-year-old comedy writer and actress is dressed like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and looks every bit as lovely as the late iconic actress.Read More »

ANTM Ep. 7 Recap

in category of TV, ANTM, Colleen Walsh-Jervis, recaps

The girls are all settling into their roles in the house. Laura is becoming standoff-ish, refusing to share the Tyra Suite; Kiara is the house mom and cooks for everyone; Victoria is the broken child. As odd as I find her intense connection to her mom (and absolutely no one else), I feel bad for her. She seems to be breaking down. She’s not eating much because she says that she can’t taste food without her mom, and she’s working out more, including lifting the giant chess pieces as weights.Read More »

Dancing With the Stars All-Stars Recap – Week Two

in category of TV, DWTS, Melissa DeLara, recap

It’s time for the second round of competition in the first ever Dancing With the Stars: All Stars season!

Melissa Rycroft and her partner Tony opened the show with an energetic Jive. In a flirty 1950s-style halter top and hoop skirt, Melissa was all smiles on the ballroom floor. Len praised the couple, but Bruno was critical of their performance, prompting Len to tell him to “Shut up!” When the judges are already bickering after the first dance, you know it’s going to be a long night! Melissa and Tony received 23.5 total points out of 30 possible points.Read More »

It’s time for Chris, Reagan, and Ava to shake things up. When their TV stops working during dinner, Chris and Reagan realize they have nothing to talk about and they fear that they’re becoming like the old couples at the waffle house who read newspapers at the table and wait to die. In an effort to spark conversation, Reagan uses the skills she learned as a producer on The Ava Show and creates cue cards with conversation prompts, but Chris catches her. They end up drinking and telling each other stories about their lives that they’ve never told each other.Read More »

The Office Ep. 3 Recap

in category of TV, Colleen Walsh-Jervis

This episode started out with the best Jim prank I’ve seen in a while: an Asian man came in, sat down, and claimed to be Jim. Dwight tried to stump him but he knew all about Jim’s orders, Jim’s voicemail passwords, and Pam treated him as her husband. Even the Halpert family photo on Jim’s desk had him in it. Dwight was stumped. It turns out that Jim was at the dentist so he had his actor friend come in and pretend to be him.Read More »

Glee Ep. 4 Recap

in category of TV, Colleen Walsh-Jervis, Glee Ep. 4 Recap

Here I was thinking Glee had jumped the shark…and then they came out with this episode. It was a vast improvement over the last few, though sad, and it wrapped up a lot of things. And best of all, Finn is finally accounted for! He’s sad, but he’s accounted for! Glee is known for themes, and this episode’s theme was breakups. Lots and lots of breakups.Read More »

30 Rock Ep. 1 Recap

in category of TV, Colleen Walsh-Jervis

As with each season premiere, this one starts off with Jack and Liz discussing what they did over the hiatus. Liz is trying to have a baby with her boyfriend Criss, Jack is trying to convince Hank Hooper not to hand Kabletown down to his family when he retires (which will likely happen soon.) He claims to be trying hard to impress Hooper, so he adds a whole bunch of new shows.Read More »

The Mindy Project Ep. 2 Recap

in category of TV, Colleen Walsh-Jervis, recaps, The Mindy Project

Mindy has good luck getting dates with some very funny guest stars. Last week, her blind date was played by Ed Helms; this week, she meets a character played by Seth Meyers in a bookstore. After an afternoon of buying and discarding unwanted flavors of frozen yogurt (you don’t want to know, it was absurd), the two decide to go to dinner. I assume this at least a two-episode arc, because the date hasn’t happened yet.Read More »

New Girl Ep. 2 Recap

in category of TV, Colleen Walsh-Jervis, New Girl, recaps

This week, we find Jess continuing to have meaningless sex with Sam, the man she met when she pretended to be the woman he was meant to meet from an online dating site. Well, she’s trying to have meaningless sex, but can’t deal with the lack of dates or emotion. She turns to her roommates and Schmidt suggests that they all go out to dinner, kind of like a group date, so that they can fake the date she needs before she meets up with Sam.Read More »
