Your lifestyle, your quirk
I really can’t imagine anyone not liking denim, but I have run into a few folks in my lifetime who won’t wear it no matter what. Even if they were on Old MacDonald’s farm milking the cows, they would find something else to wear. Oh well, I won’t wear pleather, so to each their own.
Practically every fashion magazine for men and women has my favorite fashion item, denim jeans, featured in some way shape or form in their publication. From denim dos and don’ts, to the right cut, length, and style for your shape to outfit ideas, right now, it’s all about denim.
This trend is so hot, it’s a shame for anyone to pass on it. So my fellow fashionistas, if you haven’t got your denim on, please do. Even if you don’t want to wear denim on your body, you still can work this trend…on your hands and feet. A denim “do” that is perfect for those who don’t do denim is denim-colored nail polish.
I don’t wear polish, but since I love denim, I can’t help but like it. There are as many shades of polish to choose from as there are different washes of jeans. And just like jeans, you can go high-end or affordable. Several brands like Chanel have whole lines of “denim” polish that range from dark indigo to almost white light blue, just like their blue jean counterparts.
Another clever twist on this trend is the addition of embellishments like patches and rhinestones to denim-colored nails, just like you would find on pairs of jeans. I still think a denim garment or pair of jeans is top choice, but denim nail color is literally perfect for dipping your toes in the denim trend.
