Your lifestyle, your quirk
According to Wikipedia, an accessory is “an item which is used to contribute, in a secondary manner, to the wearer's outfit.” Wiki goes on to say, “Accessories are often used to complete an outfit and are chosen to specifically complement the wearer's look.”
Every good fashionista knows that the right accessories can make or break an outfit, and now that electronic devices have become such a key part of our lives, I think good old Wikipedia may want to consider adding phones to the laundry list of examples they provide in their definition of accessories. Fashionistas of a certain generation may beg to differ with me, but I think most of you would agree.
I confess I don’t use my phone as much as other folks seem to. I am still figuring out my upgrade, and although my phone spends most of its time in my purse, I did make sure my case was basic black, so it would at least match with everything.
I have been contemplating adding a more decorative case and keeping my eye open for a nice leopard or floral print. I keep one eye out and have browsed a couple of kiosks in the mall so far I have not found anything I like.
While I was doing some late night surfing I came across Case-Mate, so I thought I would pass it along.
What instantly caught my eye was a tortoise shell print; it would make a nice substitute, since I didn’t like their leopard, but overall, their selection was much nicer than what I have been seeing. The best part is you can find just about every hot fashion trend that is going on within their site, minus leopard. Some of the styles are a little too cutesy, but there is something for just about everyone.
Even if you’re not shopping for the sake of fashion, you should be able to find something you like. For instance, if you’re a fan of Coke, they have several styles to choose from that I thought were pretty classy-looking.
They have glitter, bright colors, metallics, prints, and you can even design your own with a program they have. It seemed pretty easy to do and the price is reasonable.
Of course, once I started looking, the more I could not make up my mind, but I do plan on purchasing at least one more “outfit” for my phone. Who knows, maybe I will suddenly need to use it more often – or at least carry it in my hand instead of my purse.
So my fellow fashionistas, while you’re out there mixing and matching and coordinating your little hearts out, don’t forget your phone.
