Your lifestyle, your quirk
While Lady Gaga has been taking what seems to be a small break from recording new music, she’s certainly amped up her performances in other areas. The pop queen has been branching out into other forms of art, and has been creating a more diverse image for herself.
We all know of Gaga’s tendency to wear outrageous fashion styles, but she’s also got a love for couture and high-end designers. But she’s not only concerned with wacky outfits – the singer knows talent and great design when she sees it.
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Gaga decided to get a more hands-on experience with fashion. Her love of design manifested itself as a trip down the catwalk for one of design’s most daring faces – Thierry Mugler.
Gaga recently updated her Facebook profile with a video of herself walking down Mugler’s runway while smoking a cigarette. She’s got on ridiculously tall shoes and is sporting the same thick, crazy-long pigtails she wears in the “Born this Way” video. She takes her time strutting, posing, and grimacing at the audiences, and even some of the other models break their usual straight-laced faces and glance her way.
Gaga has long been connected and enchanted by Mugler’s collections. She’s been supporting the line in a big way for a while, and after working the catwalk for the designer, she did something even more supportive (but not surprising!): Lady Gaga bought the entire collection in every color available. Gaga’s stylist was the one who made a statement concerning the purchase, but before the show, Gaga herself said, "I want people to see me walk and say 'She is a Mugler woman.’" There’s no doubt now that she will be!
On another note, the singer is taking out time from her busy schedule to support Team USA. She posted on her Facebook page, “Those girls are tearing the floor up for the USA! Woohoo! Gold for the ladies! just want to squeeze them! So much talent and beauty. Did u seem all holding hands? There's no ‘I’ in team.”
It’s definitely cool to see such a gracious perspective on team sports from a celebrity!
