Your lifestyle, your quirk
It’s nice to have clothes that are strictly for certain occasions. But it’s also nice when your clothes can perform tricks. For instance, it’s a major plus when workout or loungewear looks stylish if we have run errands after the gym, studio, or simply answer the door at home. One line that is perfect for all these things is So Low.
So Low is a line of contemporary sportswear started by Sarah Siegel-Magness. Originally from Boulder, Colorado, Sarah moved to New York. After a stint in the music world, she started a line of undergarments. The inspiration for her line, and most likely its name, was based on the fashion dilemma that Sarah and many other women were facing at the time. In 2001, ultra low-rise pants were popular, there was a target market for panties that were low enough to not show.
The line flew off the shelves. Models and celebrities especially went crazy for them. A few seasons later, So Low expanded into leggings, fold over pants, fitted tanks, and comfy hoodies. Sarah also created swimsuits and accessories that catered to the young, fit, and beautiful of Hollywood. Her fan base includes celebrities like Kirsten Dunst, Lucy Liu, and Gwen Stefani. So Low is also known for its luxury fabrications like cashmere, velour, terrycloth, and cotton modal.
She remains a busy gal; according to her company website, “In addition to her business, Siegel-Magness has been an active member of YEO, the Young Entrepreneur's Organization, a global nonprofit educational organization. Her humanitarian and charity efforts include Save Venice, New Yorkers for Children, and the Millennium Promise.” She even has her own TV show coming!
Although So Low is ultra lux and ultra comfy, the fit and cut might not be for everyone. As cool as I think this line is, I probably won’t be adding it to my closet, but I think the line and Sarah’s story is pretty interesting. So Low is perfect for a gal who runs around after a workout and wants to look stylish or just comfortable. The pieces in this line are also a bit pricey, but the fabrics are high quality and so is the fit. Sarah believes she sells more than just clothes; she sells a lifestyle image that is fun and fashionable.
