Your lifestyle, your quirk
It’s not exactly the latest newsflash that jeans are hot fashion items, but what may be considered unusual and considered news is the fact that each and every style seems to be taking a turn in the spotlight. How can you resist a trend that is both convenient and easy on the budget. It’s a win-win, because as far as jeans are concerned, if it’s a denim jean, it’s in style.
One look that might not be considered an official style is rolled-up jeans. This is one of my favorite looks and I usually do it when I wear jeans, but what I think is really great is it can work for everyone. Cuffed jeans are a DIY trend that can be done in an instant for men, women, and children.
DIY for this fashion trend simply means feel free to roll your own; instead of buying a pair pre-rolled jeans, all you need to do is grab your favorite pair of jeans and just roll. If you can splurge or just want to shop, by all means do so, because you can find lots of stylish jeans that are already rolled for you.
Just about every denim source is officering a pair of rolled jeans in their line, so you won’t have to do a lot of research to find the perfect pair with a fit you like. You can also go several ways with this trend as far as fit; you can go loose with a boyfriend type or boot cut jean, or tighter with a cigarette or skinny jeans
This look typically leans in the casual direction for guys, but it can go in two directions for women: you can go sexy or cute, depending on your shoes, top, and accessories.
In addition to being an interesting look, there are practical reasons you may want to think about considering this trend. If you have a have a hard time finding jeans that are long enough or have a washing hiccup, rolling can be an instant fix.
My favorite reason is it’s a fabulous way to show off all of this season’s fabulous shoes. High heels make a nice sexy or date night look, wedges can give you a bit of a funky boho look, and flats can go retro. File this away for when things cool off a bit: just add funky hosiery and cool boots to the fashion mix.
