The Most Impersonatable Stars

in category of Fashion

My son is having a “celebrity” day at school. When I was growing up, events like this were reserved for Homecoming in the fall, but I guess they’re a perennial occasion now. No complaints here, though, as I had a great time helping him dress up as Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean. I’m way excited for him, because I know he’ll stand out. I would bet my life on almost every girl showing up dressed as either Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, or a Kardashian. If you have an upcoming festivity like this or you’re just looking to get an edge on Halloween 2012, look no further than this article. I have endless ideas as to who you could emulate, and here are some of my faves! For one, why does no one dress up as Ke$ha? Dressing as her would be HILARIOUS…and relatively easy. First, make your hair as disgusting as possible. Maybe even throw some huge clumps of various hair products in there. Don’t worry if it’s not even – that’s the point. Then pour on tons of glitter and tinsel. Next, head to Goodwill (don’t go to an upscale consignment store; you want to look…worn) and buy some cut-off jean shorts and a denim vest. Throw that item on over a ripped up t-shirt. Yank on some cowboy boots, and then get some body paint and paint random “tribal” symbols (or just scribbles; it’s Ke$ha, not art) on your limbs and face.

If you’d rather be warm and/or cover up more, you can’t forget about the classic Sarah Palin, one of the most recognizable female politicians of our time. Borrow a suit from a friend, look at a nice wig, and don’t forget the glasses in her trademark style. With this outfit, you can combine class and style while showing people you are aware of current events, especially Vice Presidential candidates! If you want to go sexy, go for Katy Perry. Order a bright blue wig and the sky’s the limit. Though you can easily impersonate her look in “California Girls” with a ready-made costume, you can also go a different way. How about her look in “Last Friday Night”? That ’80s glam style never gets old, and you would likely look a lot more unique than anyone else at your school or party. You might have to go to a more upscale consignment shop to find these clothes, but what could be more fun?
