Your lifestyle, your quirk
Attention! Calling all handbag-loving fashionistas. Word on the fashion streets is the line Rag & Bone is adding handbags to their already cool line of fashions. Apparently from the dates of the posts I am a bit late to the table for this news, but I trust I can’t be the only one who is just now getting the word, since I got the news courtesy of the June issue of Vogue magazine. Since I have a weakness for handbags I was definitely intrigued; after reading the piece, I checked out what the rest of my fellow fashionistas and bloggers are saying. According to most sources, we are very excited. In fact, this occurrence has been long anticipated by diehard fans of this line.
Racked.com seems to have had the most information after WWD (of course). Racked wrote, “The brand has confirmed it is launching handbags next season … The bags willl be available exclusively at Rag & Bone stores, including their new location on Madison Avenue in Manhattan, and at Barneys New York.”
They also had the most important info like the ETA, which at present is a vague September 2012.
SheFinds.com had a picture of the “pilot” bag that will be available to the public, along with what came down the runway at their fall 2012 show. This bag seemed destined to be a hit before it arrived, because what the models carried a while back had Lucky magazine gushing, “We remember spotting several models carrying boxy two-toned leather bags on Rag & Bone's fall 2012 runway and hoping they'd make it to the sales floor.”
Rag & Bone is one of those brands I admire from afar and get inspiration from and being a handbag fiend I zeroed right in on the bag that has my favorite hand held straps
It’s possible that being late has its perks, because I didn’t have to wait too long to get a look at these anticipated bags. The “pilot” bag is featured along with the piece on the brand in Vogue, and it’s a close cousin to what came down the runway. It also has a price listed, a pretty hefty one I might add. So there is a bit of “bad” to go with all of this good news for those of us on a budget, but just think, you have until September to figure out how to make one of these bags your own.
