One of the hottest fashion looks for spring 2012 is the short suit. When you think of a suit, your mind probably conjures up images of mundane events like work, interviews, and other less fashion-oriented responsibilities. As far as I am concerned, suit is a “four-letter” word even in it comes to fashion. For spring 2012, many designers have taken the suit to a new level and look. In addition to adding lots of interesting detailing, color, and cuts, there is a big change. What’s new for suits is the traditional skirt or trouser has been replaced them with cute shorts. This fun fashion trend may not work if you have a traditional nine to five gigs, but if you work in the fashion industry or for yourself, you should be able to work this trend into the office and your wardrobe with minimal effort. Even if you can’t wear one of these stylish short suits for your job, thanks to the use of gorgeous fabrics and detailing, you are going to find or even create an opportunity to wear one. If you’re not sure where to wear one of these short suits, simply insert one of these spring suits wherever you would wear a casual dress. Trade in your traditional dark blue and black work suit for one in soft spring colors, or one that sports exaggerated detailing, like a fitted jacket, peplums, interesting collars and sleeves. These short suits are fabulous enough to go from daytime activities to a big evening date. Practically every big name in fashion has this item in their spring line. Don’t fret; even if you’re on a budget like me, you can still consider one of these suits. Even if you splurge, you can consider it a wise purchase, as you can also wear the bottom and jacket as separates with other garments you might already own. Lots of these suits are already embellished and can stand on their own, but if an emergency arises, they easily transform from day to night with a few extra accessories, and you can stash those in a cabinet or cubby at work. Try pairing a basic black or blue suit with a pair of oversized cuffs and matching necklace. A fabulous handbag and matching shoes can take you from the weekly meeting to meeting up with him or your gal pals.
