Steal His Style

I think if you wanted to make a poster for the words “cool-looking guy,” Lenny Kravitz would make a perfect visual. There are lots of celebrities that are cool, both male and female, but there is something about Lenny Kravitz that sets him apart. He is cool and he also has “it.”

Now “it” is kind of vague and actually hard to put in words, but I will say not everyone has “it” and you can’t necessarily get “it.” So to very loosely paraphrase a quote by actress Katherine Hepburn: “I don’t know what it is but whatever it is, I’ve got it.” Or rather, he’s got it.

Lenny Kravitz’s music is cool. He does cool things, he has a cool kid, and the first impression when you see him is probably “Wow, he dresses really cool.” What takes his coolness as far as the way he dresses to another level is the fact that you can look at something and say, that looks like something Lenny Kravitz would wear.  

What also takes Lenny off the charts as far as being cool is guys want to dress like him, gals want their guys to dress like him, and some gals want to dress like him themselves. Normally I don’t go for guys who give me competition in the fashion department, but Lenny Kravitz would be an exception. I can just imagine his closet. I do see some fights over clothes and makeup, but hey, no relationship is perfect, right?

Lenny Kravitz has one more magical power. In addition to having an iconic look, the man looks good in just about anything. He normally wears his signa turstyle of clothes, a variation of  jeans or leather pants, cool jacket, t-shirt, ski cap, scarf, and of course sunglasses, but he has been on the red carpet several times and looks as amazing in a tux as he does in a belly shirt and ultra-flare bell bottoms and a faux fur vest.

If you or your guy want to channel this rock icon’s style, you probably have a few items to start in your own closet, like jeans or leather jacket. Just add one or two signature pieces and you can easily steal his ultra-cool style, but you’re on your own for the rest.
