What could possibly be better than shopping at the famous Barneys warehouse sale? The answer is shopping at the famous Barneys warehouse sale from the comfort of your own home.

Bargain hunters, fashionistas, and loyal fans of Barneys, hold onto your mouse, because for the first time in its history, the legendary Barneys warehouse sale is going online. Rather than standing in line and fighting off your fellow fashionistas for bargains, you will be able to shop in the comfort of your own home. Most folks usually dress for easy access to do a striptease when they hit the sale, and now people won’t have to get dressed at all!

I am actually surprised at myself, since I have never witnessed one of these events first hand. I have only heard breathless recounts from coworkers at several jobs. It’s been tempting, and I would not mind watching from a safe distance. It all just sounds too exhausting to actually participate and even a bit dangerous. I love a bargain like the next person, but after reading phrases like “lined up and down the street” and “frenzied, crazy look in their eyes,” I am cool with my decision to pass going to one of these sales.

Although I never made the event a tradition of mine it still seems a little sad that this sale is now going to be online. I am all for keeping up with the times and I do my share of late night shopping in my jammies, but it just seems like an old tradition is being done away with. But I will confess my curiosity may get the better of me and I may check it out online.
