Warming! Sweaters with Graphic Material
Sweater weather has arrived in full force almost overnight, and one way to get your sweater on is with an interesting graphic print. This type of sweater is so cheery, fun, and stylish to wear it almost makes you forget about the really cold weather going on outside.
Even if you don’t really care for cold weather, you just might look forward to the opportunity to wear one of these fun, eye-catching knits. Some of these decorative and often “chatty” graphic print sweaters can be a little overwhelming at first glance, but they really are easy to work into just about any wardrobe: all you need to do is remember the rule…there are no rules.
The main reason these sweaters are so versatile, especially this year, is the fact they have so many colors and interesting patterns. An effortless
outfit idea would be to just add a solid bottom that picks up one of the colors in the sweater, or wear a pair of your favorite blue jeans and you’re off, ready to run the streets in style.
These sweaters are left to stand alone as far as being part of a fashion trend, but they do have a bit of an ’80s retro vibe, and they are perfect for the mixing patterns trend we are seeing everywhere for both men and women. I suggest you have fun with this garment and try your hand at the mixing trend with both abstract graphic prints and prints of symbols, objects, or even words.
Again, there are no rules, so tops and bottoms that you may not have thought to pair with one of these “works of art” before will look fabulous this season. Try wearing a pair of plaid trousers or a floral skirt with a graphic print sweater. One suggestion is to go easy on the accessories and shoes when you’re mixing it up, but don’t be afraid to use your imagination for putting outfits together.
I think pullover styles are at the top of the list for working this trend because of their casual vibe, but you will find every other sweater style. These fun sweaters come in cardigans, v-necks and turtlenecks.
