Don't Buy Diablo 3!

I love gaming, I really do, but you know what I don't love? Wasting money! I plunked down $60 for Diablo 3. I have been waiting for this game for more than a year, anxiously waiting and watching for news. I played through the other installments of the series and remember playing the first game for hours upon hours. From everything I have seen so far, Diablo 3 looks to be just as good as the others, but why am I not telling you how the game is since I bought it? Cause the game is absolutely unplayable!

"No," you must be saying, "it's your computer..."

Nope, just bought a brand new computer, the game should run. "Well, maybe it's your controller, are you having connection problems?"

Nope.... I literally can't play the game! Let me tell you why... Blizzard has wrought a terrible tool upon us called DRM. First, you must have a CONSTANT connection to the internet to play the game, no problem with that. Next, you need to log into Battlenet servers to play the game, and that is the problem. Blizzard was so unprepared for the onslaught of new users that they could not handle the load, and I could not log in to play.

"So," you say, "why not play a single-player game until the servers are up, why do you need to play multiplayer?"

HA! I tell you, HA! I WAS trying to play a single-player game. That is the joke, you need to connect to the Battlenet servers to even play a single-player game! No Battlenet, no playing! Single-player or otherwise!

I logged into my Amazon account to leave a scathing review, and behold, there are already over 300 negative reviews against the game! Why on earth can a company be allowed to take your $60 and not allow you to play? DRM needs to go away, it hurts the consumer! Now look at me, I work hard for my money, I put in insane hours, and I just wanted to relax and play a game I paid for, but NO. I am stuck looking at a stuck screen trying to log.

So why is Blizzard doing this? Copy protection? no! The real reason why Blizzard wants everyone to be jacked into the game is because of the auction house. The magical auction house where users will spend real money to buy in game items. This gives Blizzard another revenue stream other than the $60 I just wasted on the game. If it's one thing Blizzard really knows how to do, it's taking money. Just think about how much they rake in monthly from all the poor saps still playing World of Warcraft. I was one of them; it took me five months to cancel my account after I stopped playing, cause I kept on telling myself that I didn't want to lose my character and I would get back into the game. But I'm clean now, and there is no going back to WoW.

I have Skyrim now!

So if you didn't get the point, don't buy Diablo 3, and don't support DRM.
