Andrew Garfield – Top Boyfriend in Hollywood?
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are the hottest pair in Hollywood at the moment, thanks to the imminent release of this sure-to-be-blockbuster hit The Amazing Spider-Man. It sure doesn’t hurt that they are also a couple in real life. The adorableness is hard to contain!
The pair recently issued an interview with Teen Vogue magazine, as well as posed together for the cover. Emma’s interview was her typical clever and entertaining answers about breaking into the Hollywood business, but Andrew’s answers really stood out for their sweetness. His love and admiration for his girlfriend was evident in every answer and is sure to make the female fans swoon. Emma is one lucky girl.
When asked what he thought of Emma the first time he met her, Garfield recalled, “It was like I woke up when she came in. She was the last person to screen-test, and I was so bored of it by then that I was mucking about—I'd been pretending I was Tom Hanks or Seth Rogen. And then she came in, and it was like diving into white-water rapids and having no desire to hang on to the side. Throughout shooting, it was wild and exciting. I couldn't help but try to stay with her, keep pace with her, and not let her get away. [Laughs] Like an animal preying on a smaller animal, but a wily smaller animal."
Andrew clearly thinks highly of his girl. In case there were any doubts, however, he also chose her (and her mother!) as his heroes. When asked who he looked up to, Andrew answered without hesitation, “[Emma’s] mom. And my mom. [Pointing to Emma] She’s a hero of mine, because she is who she is.” He also joked, “And, of course, Ryan Gosling.”
Andrew also gushed about his leading lady at the U.K. premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man in London's Leicester Square. He told reporters, “[Emma] is fantastic. We all know and love her and she is just so fluid and present and generous and loving. She's very special."
The Amazing Spider-Man Director Marc Webb acknowledged the couple’s obvious chemistry, calling it the "beating heart" of the movie. "That first romance is something we can all relate to and I think that's what makes the film so special," Webb said.
We can’t wait to see the see the chemistry for ourselves when The Amazing Spider-Man hits U.S. theaters next month!
