Bristol Palin is Looking Good!
Dancing With the Stars has been known to help a celebrity or two slim down during their stint on the show, but Bristol Palin proved she’s bringing her A-game this season by showing up for her first dance already slimmed down and in the best shape we’ve ever seen her. Girl looks good!
"I'm definitely in better shape than I was last time, definitely," Bristol proudly told Us Weekly.
No argument here. So how did she do it?
"I'm just more active and I cut all the crap out of my diet! It's that simple," Bristol stated, before deciding to add, "And my kid's a lot more rowdy, a lot more active. I'm running after him a lot! He's huge! He thinks he's a teenager already."
The public first took an interest in Bristol when her mom, Sarah Palin, became the first female to win a Republican vice president nomination in the 2008 election. Bristol was just 17 at the time and was pregnant by her then-boyfriend, Levi Johnston.
Bristol and Levi didn’t end up staying together, but they have both remained of some interest to the public as they move forward with their young lives. Bristol and her now-three-year-old son, Tripp, have been featured in their own reality television show this year. Levi, meanwhile, just welcomed his second child, a daughter, with his fiancée Summer Oglesby. He and Bristol bring very different stories to the table about how involved he is, and wishes to be, with Tripp.
Bristol has clearly grown up in the past few years and seems eager to show the world, beginning with her “winner takes all” approach to her second stint on Dancing With the Stars.
After this season’s opening night, Bristol and her dancing partner, Mark Ballas, earned a score of 19 points out of 30 on the new, harder grading scale, which now allows for half points.
Ballas said of Bristol’s slimmed down and toned body, "It's definitely a step in the right direction. She looks amazing, and I definitely can feel it when I move with her. She's more smooth."
Bristol shared that her mother is proud of her and “just excited to see a new confident me, and she's happy to be here to watch. I think it's just my age. I was 19 [the first time] and now I'm 21, almost 22."
This season of Dancing With the Stars brings back some of the best celebrity dancers and fan favorites from past seasons for a competition of “the best of the best.” Bristol has certainly increased her chances at winning, but she’s still going to have to work hard for it!
