Britney Spears’ Fiancé Awarded Co-Conservator

in category of Gossip

It’s a big week for Jason Trawick, Britney Spears’ manager and fiancé. Trawick has just been approved as a co-conservator, along with Spears’ father Jamie Spears, to manage his fiancée’s personal affairs.

Wednesday’s hearing was closed to the public due to discussion of Spears’ medical history. Neither Spears nor her father, Jamie Spears, were in attendance.

Trawick, 40, appeared in court looking professional and dapper in a gray pinstripe suit and a blue striped tie. He certainly appeared to be taking the case quite seriously and treated the process with respect.

Although Trawick now has some additional power in his relationship with Spears, he was not granted any power or control over her assets. As they are about to become man and wife, this move also helps Spears get one step closer to regaining ownership and control of her personal affairs.

Trawick’s role as co-conservator will be more clearly defined in the review hearing on July 25. He is expected to primarily have control over the pop star’s daily going-ons.

"This will be a process that has to play out and for the judge to consider," a source claiming to be very close to the situation told E! News.

Jamie is reportedly “thrilled” by the decision to add Trawick to the case, according to his attorney Geraldine Wyle. Jamie will remain in full control of his daughter’s entire estate.

Spears is still under a court-ordered conservatorship, which was placed four years ago after Spears had her very public and drawn-out mental breakdown.

Trawick was working for William Morris Endeavor Entertainment when he first met Spears, and he started representing her in 2008. He has represented some very high profile stars in the past, such as Taylor Swift, Hilary Duff, Heidi Klum, and Paris Hilton. Clearly, he’s not a newbie on the scene.

Since becoming her manager, Trawick has done a world of good for Spears. Prior to him, she was limping along trying not to look crazy in the headlines (and failing miserably). Since Trawick took the reins, Spears has been on the path of a steady comeback and appears relatively normal again. Trawick was the mastermind behind one of Spears’ first successful comeback moves, her guest starring role on the hit television show How I Met Your Mother. He was also responsible for reuniting her with her estranged parents and former manager.

Call us crazy, but this Trawick guy seems like a genuine good dude who cares about Britney. If you don’t believe us, just ask Ryan Seacrest.

"I used to work w/ Jason Trawick and can't think of a better guy and more perfect match for Britney Spears. Congrats guys," Seacrest tweeted following the announcement of Trawick and Spears’ engagement last year.
