Eva Longoria’s New Matchmaking Show

in category of Gossip
What do you do if you’re a celebrity with a failed marriage and a failed dating life? Why, start a dating show, of course! At least, that is Eva Longoria’s answer to her fledging romance record. The show is currently being called All About Love and will involve matching single people up with professional matchmakers. Those professionals includes Amber Kelleher, the head of the elite dating company Kelleher International, as well as Steve Ward, who appeared on VH1’s show Tough Love. Ward and his mother sent women who have been unsuccessful in relationships through a boot camp. "It's designed to help real women get back into the dating pool. They've chosen single women and single mothers—women who have been through a series of heartaches and battles in life and have all but given up on finding one true love," a source explained to Us Weekly. The matchmaking show is being developed by Longoria’s company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, and is set to go into production in April. NBC has reportedly already ordered a whole series. Longoria, 37, got her start as a television star on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. She is best known, however, for her role as Gabrielle Solis on ABC’s Desperate Housewives, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in 2006. Longoria was married to soap star Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2004, then 29-year-old Spurs point guard Tony Parker from 2007 to 2010. It was later revealed that Longoria chose to split from Parker after discovering hundreds of inappropriate text messages between him and their “friend,” British model Erin Barry. Most recently, Longoria had been dating actor Eduardo Cruz (Penelope Cruz’s younger brother), but they reportedly broke up earlier this month. Despite her troubles with lasting relationships, Longoria told Health magazine, "It's so funny, because I don't get depressed. Even after my divorce, everybody was like, 'Wow, you bounced back so quick.' I was like, 'I am not letting this take over. Something great is around the corner—I can't wait to see what's going to happen.'" She has also been quoted saying, ''The truth is, I should be angry, resentful and disillusioned about relationships. But I'm not.'' Showing her optimism, Longoria has said, "I feel very excited about my life and I'm excited about things to come. There are so many things on the horizon." image:  RoidRanger / Shutterstock.com [cjniche keywords="Eva Longoria" listing="3"]
