Jennifer Aniston Engaged!
Years ago, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt split, with Brad moving on almost immediately to his then-co-star Angelina Jolie. Since then, the world has been holding its breath, waiting and hoping for Jen to find love again. Well, folks, it’s okay to let that breath out. Jen has not only found love with her beau Justin Theroux – he even put a ring on it!
Yes, it’s true. Despite the years of rumors that Jen, 43, is engaged to every man she’s even casually dated, this is the real deal. Justin’s representative confirmed to People magazine that the engagement is on: “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday [he turned 41], receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage.”
Jen’s representative has confirmed to the media that the engagement is real as well. This will be Jen’s second marriage and Justin’s first.
Earlier this year, Jen sounded like she already knew Justin was “the one” when she told InStyle magazine, “Having experienced everything you don't want in a partner over time, it starts to narrow down to what you actually do want. As I get older, I realize what qualities are important in love and what suits me. And what I won't settle for.”
And Jen doesn’t have to settle – she has scored herself a handsome and successful actor and screenwriter. Justin is known for writing films such as Tropic Thunder, Iron Man 2, and Rock of Ages. He has also acted in American Psycho, Mulholland Drive, Zoolander, and in Wanderlust, which he co-starred in with Jen.
Jen shot to fame when she starred as Rachel Green in the mega-hit NBC television sitcom Friends from 1994-2004. Jen won an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her portrayal of Rachel. She then moved on to the big screen, staring in films like Office Space, Bruce Almighty, The Break-Up, Marley & Me, Horrible Bosses, and of course Wanderlust.
When out stumping for Wanderlust earlier this year, Jen told MTV, “What I think is so awesome about Justin is that he really just disappears. He sort of morphs into things, into characters and also has a leading-man quality, which I think is beautiful. He's just great.”
We wish nothing but the best to the happy couple, but please don’t disappear together completely!
