Kardashian Drama Update

There’s a lot going on in the Kardashian world, as usual. From Oprah interviewing the family to Kanye wanting to knock Kim up…where to start?

Let’s begin with the former Queen of Daytime Television. In an effort to save her fledging OWN television network, Oprah is trying to focus on what’s popular these days. For some reason, someone suggested interviewing the Kardashian family. Perhaps it was a joke that Opera took seriously, but she’s gone through with it now.

Oprah admitted on her Facebook page prior to interviewing the reality television family, “I had never met them, nor seen the show. I did a full on Kardashian Kram in preparation, watching major shows from every season.”

“I genuinely wanted to know why they have become a cultural phenomenon?” Oprah continued in her post. “Why do so many people love to watch their every move and why do so many others love to hate them?”

Oprah also said the interview session with the family was the longest one she’d ever had because she interviewed every member of the family.

Oprah teased her audience, trying to get them interested by mentioning that she spoke with Kim about her marriage to Kris Humphries and got an answer to the divorce question that “leveled her.” Did someone forget to tell Oprah that she’s a few months too late to jump on the “Kim and Kris got divorced after 72 days” train? It’s talked about so much by this point I think most people would rather gouge their own eyes out than read or hear another word about it.

Oprah also claims to have gotten the family open up to her with “another level of forthrightness and honesty.” This I find hard to believe. They are pretty darn open with their personal lives on the show, frequently over-sharing (cough, Khloe, cough), so it’s hard to believe there are many additional secrets worth revealing – especially to Oprah, who openly admitted she didn’t watch the show or hold any interest in the family prior to booking them for an interview. Would that make you want to open up to her?

In other fun news, Kim’s newest beau Kanye West just came right out there and said it – at least, according to an anonymous source – he wants to knock Kim up!

"Kanye says he can't wait to see her carrying his child," an anonymous source told Us Weekly. "He says she will look beautiful pregnant."

"They're seriously talking marriage…they are the real deal. I've never seen her like this," the source added.

I’m not sure where this source comes from, but I, for one, have certainly seem Kim “like this” before. She rushed her relationship with Humphries the same way, and look how well that turned out.

With Khloe rumored to be undergoing fertility treatments, and Kourtney due with Baby #2 in month, there is sure to be plenty more Kardashian-related news coming our way. Oh boy.
