Kate Hudson Talks Marriage

Kate Hudson is one of the hottest moms in Hollywood, but is she going off the market soon? Probably – but she still won’t say when. Hudson teased the idea of her marrying longtime fiancé Matt Bellamy in her recent Harper’s Bazaar magazine interview, but ultimately admitted they don’t have a date set yet.

"We’ll do it eventually, but I want it to be right. I don’t want to just do it, you know what I mean?” Hudson told the magazine.

Bellamy is the 34-year-old, multi-talented frontman of the English rock band Muse. Bellamy is widely recognized by those in the music industry for his guitar-playing talent and his singing skills, and he is often seen on the “hottest musicians” lists across the pond and in the U.S. You really don’t have to look very hard to see why Hudson fell for him.

Hudson, 33, shared her feelings and impressions when she started dating Bellamy in the spring of 2010.

“I Googled him right away! And it was shocking, ’cause he was like two completely different people.” [Even after two months of dating,] “I would still tell him, ‘I look at the footage of you playing, but getting to know you, I can’t connect the dots.’” She remembers the first time she saw him in concert, at a stadium in Paris. “I didn’t realize what I was walking into; I was just in awe of his ability and his talent. And then to know him on the other side of it, and how sweet and simple and loving he is. You know how people say that when you meet somebody you love, you feel at home?”Hudson and Bellamy announced in April of 2011 that they were expecting their first child together. Their son, Bingham “Bing” Hawn Bellamy, was born on July 9, 2011, in California. “Hawn” is, of course, the last name of Hudson’s famous actress mother, Goldie Hawn.

Hudson also has an 8-year-old son, Ryder, whose father is Hudson’s ex-husband Chris Robinson. Hudson and Robinson were married from 2000 to 2006.

Bellamy continues to be stationed out of Britain, so Hudson and her sons skip back and forth across the pond.

“It’s two very different lifestyles, but I feel really lucky to be able to expose the kids to both. But it takes planning, and for somebody like me who wants to fly by the seat of my pants all the time. … I can be such a gypsy, but with the kids in school, I’m learning how to be more organized.”

Having already experienced one failed marriage, it is no wonder Hudson is taking her time tying the knot again, although it certainly looks like she and Bellamy have found a way to successfully integrate their lives and create a happy blended family. We’re looking forward to hearing the wedding details in the (near?) future – unless, of course, they pull a Lively-Reynolds on us!
