Kendall Jenner Scores Actual Acting Gig
Kendall may be a Jenner, but she’s all Kardashian as far as I’m concerned. Like her famous older sisters, Kendall has made it clear to the public that, despite being just 16 years old, she is ready and willing to enter the world of television and celebrity full time.
Kendall’s mom has been pimping – oops, I mean mentoring – her hardcore the past year, helping prime her for the Hollywood lifestyle. Imagine a Toddlers in Tiaras mom and just replace the toddle with a teenager and you’ll have a pretty accurate idea. Kendall appears to be a willing participant with it all, even recently admitting to Seventeen magazine that she would love to trade places with her big sister Kim Kardashian for a day.
“If I could trade places with any of my sisters for a day, it would be Kim. I want to see what it's like. The only time she sleeps is on the airplane. It's just crazy. I feel bad for her, but I still want to know what it's like.”
Well, perhaps if Kendall keeps aiming high, she will eventually achieve Kim’s level of celebrity. Or, of course, I could point out that Kim didn’t exactly gain her fame from hard work – well, to be fair, it was one night of hard work…
I digress. Kendall is too young for that anyway, and she seems determined to find work in Hollywood, be it modeling with her little sister, Kylie, for Seventeen magazine, starring in yet another spin off reality TV show with Kylie, or guest starring on “real” TV shows like Hawaii Five-O.
It’s true. Kendall has nabbed a legitimate acting gig, with a small guest-starring role on CBS’s Hawaii Five-O. She announced the good new herself by writing on her personal blog, "I am SO excited to reveal to you all that I am going to be making my acting debut on Hawaii Five-O! This is such an incredible opportunity for me and I’m excited for this new experience!!!"
Kendall should begin filming soon; let’s just hope she is not driving herself to work. The 16-year-old is already developing a reputation as a bad driver, getting in the horrible (and illegal) habit of texting while driving.
One concerned Los Angeles driver told the media, ''The car was all over the lane. I thought the driver was intoxicated! When I pulled up alongside her car, I realized it was Kendall Jenner. She was texting and driving!''
Now that Kendall is becoming a real actress, perhaps she can hire a driver – or maybe big sister Kim can loan out hers for the week. Kendall’s Hawaii Five-O episode is expected to air in October.
