Kourtney Kardashian’s Little Girl Has Arrived

Congratulations to Kourtney Kardashian and Scot Disick on their new baby girl, Penelope Scotland Disick, born on Sunday, July 8. The world may start its eager wait to see if Penelope will turn out like the rest of the Kardashian girls – gorgeous and knowing it.

Penelope has a fair chance of a normal life outside of the spotlight, however, as Kourtney is probably the most down-to-earth Kardashian when it comes to the spotlight. Sure, she participates in the reality show and is certainly a regular in the tabloids and at Hollywood events, but she also hasn’t let the glitz and glamour of Hollywood life affect her life philosophies.

For example, Kourtney is one of a shrinking number of women opting for an all-natural birth. Penelope, weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces, was born without the aid of an epidural or any other drug at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.

"It was great. She had an easy delivery," matriarch Kris Jenner tells E! "[Penelope] is so cute. She looks just like Mason. She's so beautiful. We are so happy."

Penelope’s birth was filmed, so perhaps we will all see some clips from the natural birth on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Penelope’s famous aunt Kim was likely very grateful to Kourtney for announcing her second pregnancy in November. The pregnancy took some of the spotlight off Kim, who was getting lambasted for her 73-day marriage to Kris Humphries. Kim posted on her blog, “The whole family is so thrilled to finally meet her! She is absolutely perfect! I am so excited to be an aunt again and can't wait to spoil little Penelope. I know Mason is going to be the best big brother in the whole world." 

Kim got right to work practicing spoiling someone by spoiling herself. She was spotted later on Penelope’s birthday exiting a tanning salon.

Penelope’s other (less) famous auntie, Khloe, also posted her excitement on her blog, writing, “"I'm an auntie again!!!!!!!!!! As I'm sure you all know, my beautiful big sister gave birth yesterday to the most perfect baby girl you've EVER seen. The entire family is literally exploding with joy and have not stopped fawning over our new little girl. And Mason is already loving being a big brother! This is just such a special and happy time for my family." 

Kourtney and Scott also have a 2-year-old son, Mason, together. At this time, they have no plans to wed, despite the many hopeful rumors.
