Another long-term Hollywoodmarriage (which is technically anything longer than 72 days) has come to an end. No, it’s not another Kardashian sister; it’s actually the most surprising split since Heidi Klume and Seal. Peter Facinelli, or Twilight
’s resident vampire doctor Carlisle Cullen, and the original 90210
hottie Jennie Garth are divorcing after eleven years of marriage.
Facinelli and Garth
announced their split officially via Us Weekly
in a statement that read, “While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time.”
The couple has three children: Luca Bella, 14, Lola Ray, aged nine, and five-year-old Fiona Eve.
Facinelli and Garth met while filming the 1996 television movie An Unfinished Affair.
They wed in 2001 in a Californiawedding. Garth had two of her famous friends from 90210, Tori Spelling and Tiffani Thiessen, as bridesmaids.
Facinelli, 38, seems to have found his shtick acting like a doctor, as he recently finished filming the blockbuster hits for the Twilight
series where he played a small town doctor who happens to also secretly be a vampire, and he is currently acting on the dark comedy television show Nurse Jackie
in the role of Dr. Fitch Cooper.
Facinelli most recently appeared at Monday’s premier of The Hunger Games
, which has been called “the next Twilight
,” with a very special lady on his arm—his eldest daughter Luca Bella.
Garth, 39, stars in a new reality show called Jennie Garth: Little Bit Country,
which will air on CMT. The show depicts the family moving to a farm inCalifornia. The show will also document the downfall of their marriage, as it seems reality television has gotten the better of another couple.
