Your lifestyle, your quirk
Brandi Glanville is developing quite a bad rap for herself. She’s being labeled the crazy psycho for saying she wanted to “murder” LeAnn Rimes, but according to Brandi, it’s being taken out of context. She didn’t just randomly pick Rimes out and decide to declare murderous intent. In all fairness, Rimes did have an affair with Glanville’s husband and is now married to him and helping to raise Glanville’s children. That’s enough to piss off any woman.
Rimes, 29, met her now-husband, Eddie Cibrian, 38, while filming the movie Northern Lights together in 2009. At the time, Cibrian was still married to Glanville, whom he had been married to for eight years and had two children with, and Rimes was still married to her first husband Dean Sheremet, to whom she had been married seven years. Cibrian and Rimes began an extramarital affair before leaving their spouses and filing for divorce. Cibrian and Rimes became engaged in 2010 and married in 2012.
"I did one of the most selfish things that I possibly could do, in hurting someone else," Rimes told People magazine in 2010. "I take responsibility for everything I've done. I hate that people got hurt. But I don't regret the outcome."
Obviously, one of the people very hurt by Rimes and Cibrian’s actions was his ex-wife. Glanville reacted with anger and verbalized it, which, if we’re being honest, is probably how most people would react in a similar situation.
Glanville, 39, told the Australian magazine NW that the first time she saw Rimes at her son’s soccer game, she was angry enough to consider violence.
“I remember walking up to practice and there she was with my baby in her lap. My blood was boiling, and I thought I was going to kill her.”
"I really thought I was going to physically hurt her,” Glanville continued. “But that was the first time I saw her that way – she was sitting in my soccer chair, under my tent, she’s got my kid on her lap and she’s there with my husband, and that was that little moment of total irrational fury.”
Glanville’s admission to thinking violently, but not acting on it, seems pretty fair considering the circumstances. However, Rimes has reportedly taken the comments to heart and is now afraid of Glanville, who currently stars on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Rimes has even said to be considering a restraining order.
“LeAnn is scared of Brandi and believes she is unstable. LeAnn’s own mother is concerned for her daughter’s safety too and regularly calls her to tell her so,” one source told a gossip site.
The whole thing sounds incredibly messy. Although we don’t approve of extramarital affairs, we must admit that murder is worse, so we wish all three of them the best in working it out legally, maturely, and without bloodshed.
