Is Liam Hemsworth to Thank for Miley’s Sexiness?

Miley Cyrus has been making a gradual transition from “cute” to downright “sexy” the last few years. If I had to venture a guess of when the transition noticeably started, I’d say about three years ago…when she met and started dating her then-costar Liam Hemsworth.

It never seemed like anything more than a coincidence, as Miley was 16 at the time, so perhaps she was just coming into her own and finding her sexuality, but with the recent news that Liam is interested in starting his own fashion line, my interest is piqued. How much influence or inspiration has Liam had on Miley’s fashion evolution?

It was Miley herself who leaked her fiancé’s exciting news. The 19-year-old singer and actress surprised many by showing up at the Project New York trade show on July 23 and mingling with the elite fashion crowd, talking up her hunky fiancé.

At the afterparty, Miley spoke with Leith Testoni, the founder of Australian clothing brand Zanerobe. When Testoni mentioned that the brand was Australian, Miley couldn’t help but share that her Aussie beau was very interested in starting his own line of menswear. 

One source told the New York Post: “Liam's looking to get his start in the business, and may be thinking of launching a label of his own.”

Liam is certainly a good candidate for starting his own clothing line, as he has reached an all-time high in his career popularity thanks to his role as Gale in the Hunger Games series, making him a teen idol – someone fans will gladly emulate.

The 22-year-old describes his personal style as “very inconsistent,” however, suggesting that he is still figuring out what he likes best.

“One day, I’ll put together a cool outfit, and the next, I’ll look like a homeless person,” Liam told InStyle. “Mostly I’m a t-shirt and jeans - Levis or Nudie. I purchased a couple of Converse hoodies the other day. They make really good, soft cotton sweaters.”

Liam is currently learning about the fashion industry from a different viewpoint as he is the new face of Bench clothing, a Filipino clothing brand. Billboards featuring Liam can be found in Guadalupe and in Manila in the Philippines.

Liam and Miley became engaged on May 31. No wedding date has been set yet, but I’m sure they will rock the isle fashionably when their time comes.
