Lindsay Lohan’s Startling Photo Shoot

Holy WOW. The line of how far Lindsay Lohan will go for attention has must been moved back. Way back. A series of extremely controversial pictures of LiLo were released Tuesday, June 26, by celebrity photographer Terry Richardson.

The twelve back-and-white photos feature the 25-year-old actress scantily clad in various outfits, doing everything from sitting on a bed to holding a gun to her head. In the most innocent of pictures, Lindsay is pretty well covered in a white nightie (or maybe it’s a summer dress. Hard to tell.) and is holding a hairbrush in each hand while sitting on the bed. Despite looking confused, she looks pretty with her hair cascading around her shoulders. The picture is only marred by the pack of cigarettes next to her.

The most controversial pictures, however, are three separate shots showing Lindsay in a loose red plaid shirt holding a gun to her temple, in her mouth, and under her chin, with a lit cigarette hanging out of her mouth.

What’s most disturbing is that she is clearly trying to look sexy in each picture. The dead-eyed poses and generally disheveled look LiLo has about her in each shot seem purposely aimed at supporting the rumors that her recent bout of exhaustion on the set for Liz & Dick actually had something to do with drugs and alcohol use.

Paramedics were called to the actress’ trailer on set earlier this month when she failed to show up for a scene. She downplayed the event by tweeting, "Note to self.. After working 85 hours in four days, and being up all night shooting, be very aware that you might pass out from exhaustion and seven paramedics might show up at your door... Hopefully they're cute. Otherwise it would be a real let down."

It has been reported by Us Weekly that Lohan is smoking an average of two packs a day on the Liz & Dick set.

“Lindsay has been working hard, but without the nicotine she probably could not make it through as she appears stressed at times and they do seem to calm her down,” a source told the magazine.

If the recent photo shoot is Lohan’s version of stumping for her new movie, she may need a lesson in PR and promotion. We’ll keep an eye on her as she continues to self-sabotage her supposed comeback.
