Natalie Portman – Married!

Natalie Portman is officially off the market. For real this time. There have been rumors since February that Portman, 31, and her fiancé chorographer Benjamin Millepied, 35, had secretly married, because the two were spotted sporting their wedding rings at the Academy Awards, but their reps refused to comment at the time. It was just revealed that the gorgeous pair made it legal this past weekend. So perhaps they were just practicing wearing the rings?

Portman wed the father of her 13-month-old son, Aleph, in a private Jewish ceremony at a house in Big Sur, California – one of the actress favorite places – before just 60 guests. The wedding took place at night, in the dark, under a chuppah.

The wedding rings, just like the engagement ring, are environmentally friendly and completely conflict-free. Jeweler Jamie Wolf confirmed publically, “I designed the rings worn by Benjamin Millepied and Natalie Portman … They were made with recycled platinum and conflict-free diamonds.”

Regarding the engagement ring, Wolf said, "We wanted everything about the ring to speak to things that are important to Natalie. Ben was exceptionally thoughtful and dedicated and patient to make sure we had everything right.”

Portman and Millepied met on set of Black Swan, which Portman starred in (oh, and won a Golden Globe, Academy Award, Screen Actor’s Guild Award, Independent Spirit Award, and a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in!) and Millepied choreographed. They started dating in early 2010 and were already engaged and expecting their first child by December 2010.

Although the pair vary rarely discuss their relationship in public, Portman couldn’t help but recognize her partner in her Oscar acceptance speech for Best Actress in The Black Swan. She referred to Millepied as “my beautiful love” and thanked him for giving her “the most important role of my life,” in reference to motherhood.

Showing her fun side, Portman also joked in her acceptance speech, “Benjamin choreographed the film, and also you might remember him in the movie as the guy when they ask, 'Would you sleep with that girl?' And he's like, 'Pffsh, no.' He's the best actor. It's not true: He totally wants to sleep with me!”

Portman, an Israeli-born beauty with dual Israeli and American citizenship, has also starred (and won multiple awards) in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Closer, V for Vendetta, The Other Boleyn Girl.
