Playboy is Expanding Its Repertoire

It’s about time, but Playboy is expanding its repertoire to women from other countries now – namely India. Sherlyn Chopra, a Bollywood actress, is about to become the first woman from India to bare all for the famous magazine.

For those who feel Chopra is being taken advantage of, dressed up in skimpy versions of her country’s native dress, a sari, it should be noted that the whole idea to pose for the magazine came from Chopra. The 28-year-old Bollywood actress and director wrote to Playboy saying she would be delighted to be the first woman from her country to pose for their pages. It only took Playboy a matter of days to respond and accept her generous offer.

Chopra told BBC Hindi that she could not "miss the opportunity of posing nude for the world's most established adult magazine."

It’s not as easy as it looks though, according to the actress. "It is not an easy task to be nude in front of the camera and look good at the same time," Chopra said.

Although Chopra seems quite proud to be representing her country in this way, the feeling does not appear to be mutual. Playboy is not even allowed within India.

Chopra has not let any opposition get her down, however. "I have become the first Indian to pose naked for Playboy, and nobody can take away that achievement from me," she told the BBC.

Chopra has been keeping her fans up on things via her Twitter account, where she recently uploaded multiple pictures of her visit to Hugh Hefner and the famous Playboy mansion. From the look the pictures, it doesn’t appear that she will be joining Hugh’s harem of girlfriends any time soon, as every picture of the two of them shows him with his hand proudly on Chopra’s butt, but Chopra is as far away from him as she can get, having to lean just her top half in for the picture. The body language clearly shows that she may be interested in posing for the magazine, but she would probably prefer Hugh never see it.

"I had fun meeting him and his girlfriends,” Chopra said. “I am thinking of making him my idol because he lives his life on his terms and conditions. I also live my life on my terms and conditions.”

Chopra seems to be psyching herself up to face her mother in admitting that she is the newest Playboy centerfold. "My sister is proud of my achievement. I haven't told anything to my mother, but I think I will visit her and tell her that she has to accept me the way I am," Chopra said.
