Well, Bravo has released their complete fall schedule, and it looks like the
Housewives franchise has become even more of a cash cow than it already has been for the network. Up until recently, the only housewife that had successfully spun off her own show was Bethenny Frankel, one of the original housewives of New York City. Though her show has never pulled in ratings like her previous show and they are waning as her third season progresses, Bravo has decided to replicate this adventure many times over. Talk about new spinoffs are dominating the
Houswives buzz, but this time around, it doesn’t seem like any of the ladies spinning off are leaving their own show! In fact, they’re all still listed as stars for the next seasons.

For example, the lady who may just be the most popular housewife of all time, Lisa Vanderpump of Beverly Hills, is spinning off a new show called
Sur, named after one of the many restaurants she owns and manages. It will focus on her fabulous life as a businesswoman and boss. Though she will be the focus of the show, the remaining pieces of plot will be picked up by other cast members at the restaurant. Instead of being about her life, it’s about the restaurant! The waiters, the guests, the events, etc. I’m intrigued, and I’m glad she’s not leaving the housewives. Without her, I fear the show would lose its heart.
Next, it seems literally everyone from Atlanta is on some other show now. Forget that Nene found some success on
Celebrity Apprentice, because that’s old news. Now, all we hear about is Kandi’s new show,
The Kandi Factory, which will revisit her roots as a music producer. All she tweets about anymore is upcoming casting for the show, so it sounds like it might be somewhat of a competition. Again, this is unique for Bravo, so I’m intrigued. In the show, she’ll work with burgeoning young stars, and I’m assuming there will be a record deal in there somewhere.
This show is in addition to Kim Zolciak’s new spinoff about getting married. This is actually kind of baffling, because Kim is far from a favorite housewife. What’s more, Bravo has already had this formula before, to only middling results. Bethenny’s spin off was called
Bethenny Getting Married – why would you want to try this again when Kim Zolciak is definitely not Bethenny Frankel?
Sidenote – I just read that Sheree has also been fired for the next season. Good thing Kandi and Kim are coming back, otherwise it’d just be Nene and Phaedra holding down the fort (Cynthia doesn’t even count)! That could actually be some good TV. ;)
