Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Split

Well, it’s over. After all the couch-jumping and overdone PDAs that had the world wondering what the hell Katie Holmes was thinking…it’s over.

It’s not that I was overly invested in Tom and Katie. Honestly, the only time I ever paid attention to them was when some of Tom’s hijinks made the actual news (which, considering the state of the media, was pretty frequently). I saw the whole couch-jumping thing, the ridiculous interview with Matt Lauer, the seeming public lovey-dovey meltdown of a man who had once been a formidable movie star.

All the while we saw less and less of Katie Holmes, except for when paparazzi snapped her out and about with Suri. Gotta wonder about that.

The end of their marriage is their private business, but of course there’s going to be rampant speculation until something is revealed. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one!
