A Very Pregnant Jessica Simpson Makes Talk Show Rounds

Jessica Simpson knows not to wear white after Labor Day, so she’s getting it in now before her own impending labor day arrives. An 8+ months pregnant Simpson appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week in a flowing white dress with white and grey sweater. Always the celebrity, she topped the outfit off with 6-inch fire engine red heels. Simpson is supposed to be promoting her new reality show on NBC, a fashion competition also featuring Nicole Richie and Elle Macpherson, but no one can seem to get past her belly. Simpson’s middle looked stretched to the max, but after Ellen played up the fact that Simpson might end up giving birth in the interview chair and even had a paramedic waiting on the side of the stage, Simpson insisted she still had a few weeks until her due date. Simpson seemed ready for the next logical assumption and assured there is just one baby in her belly. She reminded Ellen that her fiancé Eric Johnson is a large football player, so it’s logical her baby will be on the bigger side. Simpson said Johnson was more than nine pounds at birth, and her baby is already estimated at more than eight pounds. Simpson has revealed that she’s having a girl and that she and Johnson have a name picked out, although they are waiting to share it with the public until after their little one’s arrival. Simpson was also a guest on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno this week. Like Ellen, Jay assumed she was at the very end of her pregnancy, and stressed the fact that “She’s about to have a baby at any minute.” Once again Simpson shuffled over to the interview chair on what she joked were 8-inch heels; she couldn’t have been too far off. “'We’re waddling at this point,” she told Leno. Soon into the interview Simpson clarified, “No, it's not twins, I know it looks like it.” The world will know soon enough if there is a gigantic baby in there, if she was just being secretive about twins, or of she’s just been enjoying the dietary freedom some women take quite liberally during pregnancy.
