I have this love-hate relationship with Pilates. I love the results it gives me, but it can be quite difficult at times. I have been doing Pilates at least one day a week for about three years now. If you have never tried a Pilates Reformer class, I suggest you give it a try. You can buy sessions in small groups or get private lessons. I recommend you try private classes for your first efforts, so you can get individual attention. I have bad joints, so the Pilates Reformer was a no-brainer for me. You can read one of my articles about Pilates that was written for ShopForClothes about a year ago.

I know a Pilates Reformer class may not be right for every budget, but many gyms will offer mat Pilates classes at no extra charge. I personally find these classes torturous, but you may really like them. Either way, your body will see great results. If you are looking for long, lean muscles, then a Pilates class might be just what you need.
There are so many different exercises that can be done during Reformer classes, you will never get bored. Here I am three years later, and I’m still learning and trying new exercises. Remember when it comes to building muscle we have to keep the body guessing. We all need to keep our workouts fun and different, so if you have never been to a Pilates class, it might be time to give it a try. The Pilates Reformer is not just for women—men can try it, too. Contrary to what men believe, Pilates is not just about stretching.
Let me know what you think! I would love to hear from you.
