I don’t know about you, but fruit smoothies are the best drink besides water. I love them in the summer, and they make me feel so healthy! Not to mention the fact that you can get all of your daily vitamins and minerals this way. You can use juice to detox, diet, and improve your complexion. On that note, I’m buying a juicer. Today. I can’t live without one anymore! I’ve wanted one for a while, and now it’s summer, and the heat really wears me out so I don’t feel like cooking. All I want to eat is fruit and vegetables! So before I make my purchase, I decided to look up some juicer recipes, and now I’m sharing them with you. Enjoy!
Orange Carrot Juice
This is probably the easiest one I’ve found. Clean and peel eight large carrots and two large oranges. Juice and then whisk for a simple, refreshing juice blend.
Green Apple Grape
This is a pretty simple recipe, but I love these flavors together, so I want to try it at home! Take three Granny Smith green apples, clean and peel them, and then take out the cores and cut the apples into quarters. Add in one cup of seedless green grapes and one thin wedge of lemon slice; just make sure to peel the slice of lemon! Juice, and voila! Very tasty.
The Mean Green Shake
This one is great for energy. Just remember, you need lots of apples and other tasty fruits to make it yummy (nobody wants to drink spinach, blech). You’ll need two apples, peeled, quartered, and cored, half of a peeled cucumber, an half of a peeled lemon. Then add a half-cup of kale (similar to lettuce), a half-cup of spinach, a few sticks of celery, and one inch of ginger. Then clean and cut a fourth of a head of Romaine lettuce. Juice it all up, and if you don’t like the taste, add in more apple and lemon.
This drink has the same concept as lemonade. Just use a whole, peeled lemon, and a fourth of a watermelon with the rind and seeds removed.
