Sharing Inspiration

I don’t know about you, but I’m a blog junkie! I love to read posts by travelers, beauty experts, style connoisseurs, and other interesting people. It means a lot to me to hear about others’ lives and to learn from them, and it also inspires me to be the best I can be! Keeping me inspired is a big job, especially because I get burned out so easily, but reading blogs seems to help me out quite a bit.

I appreciate the inspiration I receive from other people, so I do try to be such a source myself. It’s why I’ve started blogging, as well as making Pinterest boards and sharing ideas. I think it’s a very noble aspect to help others feel inspired, and sharing your passions is a great way to do that. Below is a list of amazing things to do to help those around you feel enlightened and passionate. And as always, if you have your own ideas about how to accomplish this, please let me know! That way, we’ll both be sharing.

  1. Lending books – If you’ve read a great novel, don’t keep it to yourself! Loan it out to a friend who might enjoy it. I share books with my cousin all the time, as we have similar tastes in literature. If you don’t have someone you can loan it to, donate the book to Goodwill or a similar charity with a note in front explaining why you liked the book and why you want others to enjoy it. The person who purchases it will not only read the text, but your words as well! Alternatively, you can donate books to the library.
  2. Magazine clippings – I love sharing magazine articles I read. Recently, I saw one in Whole Living about natural birthing and midwives, which I immediately shared with a relative of mine who is having a baby and is planning to have a natural birth. Sharing information can be a way to show others you support their decisions and that you care enough to help them out.
  3. Crafting – I am a huge crafter. I love DIY projects and am always looking for an excuse to make something! I love to make my boyfriend cards and knickknacks; right now, I’m working on a Star Wars paperweight because he’s such a fan.
  4. Blogging – Reaching out to those close to you is easy and often physical, but the world of social media makes it possible to help those far away. I like to relate my travel adventures, ideas, and crafts on my blog, as well as great music. It helps me to connect with my friends, feel accomplished, and provide great sources to people that sometimes, I don’t even know!

Giving inspiration to those around you is easy when you work at it. Sometimes, just giving a pep talk, sending a card, or having quiet time with a loved one is all you need to make someone’s eyes sparkle. One of my new goals is to be a source of inspiration, and you can do it too! Just remember to give others what you like to see in the world.

Have a wonderful week!
