Happy Birthday, Mark Zuckerberg!

He probably doesn’t need anything, but you may want to give him a shout-out on his Facebook page.

Actually, it would be interesting to take a look, if it’s public, to see who will be wishing the boy wonder a happy birthday. I know technically he isn’t a boy, but his youthful looks just add to his allure, and they’re part of the reason the public seems so fascinated with him.

For the record, Mark Zuckerberg was born May 14, 1984, in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Mark Zuckerberg, just in case you have been living on a deserted island, co-founded the social networking website Facebook. The site has a user base that has grown to over 250 million people, and Zuckerberg is a billionaire.

Facebook’s origins are depicted in the film The Social Network. I thought the movie was interesting, very well done and entertaining. I know it’s been said that the main character was not true to Zuckerberg’s personality, but he was hysterical, and I also thought the sets and the costumes were done very well. They actually took me down memory lane, as I used to work for a couple of very cool internet companies. The shade of the “investor blue” button-down shirts was spot-on.

Mark Zuckerberg’s life before Facebook may not have garnered as much attention as it is probably getting now, but it’s actually quite interesting. Biography.com has a more detailed rundown on Mark – did you know he used Atari BASIC to create a messaging program when he was twelve years old? He called the program “Zucknet.”

If you know who Mark Zuckerberg is and/or saw the movie The Social Network, then you probably know the rest of the story and that it continues to play out. I am sure you can read more about him on the net, especially today. Happy birthday from one of your 250 million users!
