There’s not just the pressure of the guy liking the gift; the present is going to be reported by the media and judged by fans all over the world. So how did these ladies handle their beaus’ June birthdays or their first Father’s Days? Looks like they all nailed it.

When Prince William turned 30 on June 22, he woke up to breakfast in bed. That might not sound special for the future King of England, but this breakfast was lovingly made by his wife, Duchess Catherine. Instead of summoning a servant or a cook, Kate got up early and made the breakfast herself. Similarly, she made their first anniversary dinner herself. She also gave William a custom-made watch created by Collins & Sons. It is no doubt a special, one-of-a-kind accessory. As it is his 30^th birthday, it is rumored that Kate is planning a special party for Wills with 25 of his closest friends.

Kanye West is wary of gold diggers, and Kim Kardashian’s birthday gift to her beau proves that she is far from one. On June 8, Kanye celebrated his 35^th birthday in Ireland while on tour with Jay-Z. Kim’s gift to him is waiting for him back in Los Angeles; it’s a black Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, rumored to be worth $750,000. It is reported that Kanye has always wanted a black Lambo, so Kim must have been listening. On top of the rare vehicle, Kim surprised the rapper by showing up in Ireland to be with him on his birthday and show him videos of the car.

Beyoncé outdid everyone for Jay-Z’s first Father’s Day after the birth of their daughter, Blue Ivy. It has been reported that Queen B spent almost $40 million on a private jet for The Hova. The Bombardier Challenger 850 has a cream leather interior and a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, and two bathrooms. Heck, that’s bigger than most of my friends’ apartments. If this extravagant gift doesn’t tell Jay what a great dad she thinks he is, what will? The intensely private family may have had a sweet celebration like Kate’s homemade breakfast or Kim’s surprise visit, but it will stay under wraps.

When you think about it, these gifts are kind of practical. A watch, a car, and a plane are all useful items (unlike, say, Scarlett Johansson’s gold-dipped wisdom tooth that she gifted to Ryan Reynolds in 2007).
