When A Trend Goes Wrong: Color Blocking With Lady Gaga

Celebrity fashionistas are often the ones who start a trend or are the first to embrace it while the rest of us wait for it to trickle down to the masses.   Color blocking is one of the hottest trends right now but a few celebrity trendsters have taken it a little too far and embraced it a bit too tight. Case in point: Lady Gaga. You have to give it to her that she is right on working this trend.  This is definitely one perfect example of one potential way to work color blocking.  No words are necessary for anyone who wasn’t sure how to do this with separates and accessories.  Although this is one of the more “sensible” outfits Lady Gaga has worn, I just can’t see this whole ensemble going out on the town on anyone but her. Each piece might work alone, but hey at least the shoes are black. Odd is a good word for this outfit, which is a nice change from “outrageous”, a more common Lady Gaga descriptor.  Lady must be trying to relate to everyday folks or maybe she just got up late and just threw something on.
