The Rolling Stones hit a milestone this month a marriage is downright lucky to reach, let alone a rock and roll band: 50 years together. The iconic rockers played their first show together at the Marquee Jazz Club in London, and now they’ve played all over the world and are still in high demand.

I love going to concerts. I write about it all the time, so I suppose it’s a bit obvious. I’ve been to all kinds of shows: rock, country, etc. But the one thing I’ve never done is attend a concert of a band I don’t know. When my boyfriend asked me to go see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros with him and a friend, I was all for it, even though I’d never heard a single song by them before. I meant to look them up ahead of time, but I didn’t get to.
