Comcast to Raise Data Cap and Screw You in Return

I was mortified when I read the new terms with Comcast and their testing of a new plan, and you should be too! Comcast is trying to limit your future TV watching, and they are doing it now, before you even know about it!  PLEASE, read the announcement and let Comcast know you don't like this!  Let me break down the announcement for you.

First, Comcast is going to raise the limit from 250 gigs to 300 gigs; this is good, right?  Well, if you read on, they say that very few users use more than that, and those users will need to pay $10 per extra 50 gigs.  That's great for now, but what happens in the very near future? All the TVs nowadays come with Netflix and Hulu apps, or let's say you signed up for HBO and use HBO GO to catch up on Game of Thrones on your iPad, what happens now?  Well, that 300-gig cap begins to look mighty small, and now you realize that you are paying $30 in overages each month beacuse the kids wanted to watch the two seasons of Avatar and you watched three seasons of IT Crowd.

TV watching is about to change. People now BINGE on TV shows; they watch the entire series of shows that they missed.  Who can blame them when there is such crap on TV today (with a few exceptions, of course, like Game of Thrones, Nurse Jackie, etc.).  Let's say you never caught the last two seasons of The X Files (damn, another show I need to finish) and you have some spare time , or are writing an article for a quirky style site... ahem...it's easy to turn on the TV, switch on Netflix, and play a couple seasons in the background while you work.

Now, let's say your family is indulging in this online world like all of America, and now you are finding 30% of your TV watching is online. Well, that data cap is now pretty low, and your cable bill is growing and growing and growing!  Comcast is thinking ahead for ways to screw us; they set themselves up to be the collector of our money unless we make a stand.  Tell Comcast we dont want a data cap, tell them we want our future TV watching left alone!
