Internet Meme Alert: I am Starting to Think Time Travelers Exist

If you are unfamiliar with the word “Meme,” Wikipedia describes it as "an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture." Basically, a meme is an inside joke in certain crowds. With geeks and internet savvy people, memes are everywhere. This week (well, it's been circulating longer than that) we have celebrity time travelers. Check this out; it will blow your mind! The geek community never ceases to amazes me. I was perusing my favorite geek news site the other day when someone posted an image about time travelers. As one who frequently watches Ancient Aliens (I hate to admit it), this intrigued me. What the image posted shown four actors and their old world counterparts. Let’s break these down. A supposed image of John Travolta in a very old photograph has been found on eBay:  cbsnews.com Another image claims Nicolas Cage is a vampire or walking dead. A man on eBay (again) was asking $1 million for an image that shows a striking resemblance to the famous actor:  hollywoodreporter.com The next was actor Peter Dinklage. An old painting listed as "Dwarf Sitting on the Floor" has surfaced and looks surprisingly like the Game of Thrones actor:  imgur.com The last portrays my favorite time traveler (Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure…cue air guitar) A portrait of what is supposed to be Keanu Reeves from 1847 has been spotted. It does show a remarkable resemblance to the actor; actually, all of these images look strikingly similar to their counterparts. Maybe time travelers exist, maybe they don't, but geeks do give us good reading material!
