Nolan Ross – Secret Style Icon

in category of TV

Revenge has consistently been one of the most stylish shows on TV this year. This should come as no surprise, since it focuses on the lives, houses, and fashions of the American elite in the Hamptons. However, I’m here to let everyone know that though everyone is always all a buzz about Emily VanCamp (the sultry actress who plays the main character, Amanda Clarke/Emily Thorn) or Madeline Stowe (the sophisticated firebreed who plays Victoria Grayson, Amanda/Emily’s arch-nemesis), the most stylish star of this hour long, primetime soap opera is Nolan Ross, played by Gabriel Mann.

After the central Graysons, Nolan is central to our dark heroine’s attention and intentions. His role for the most part has been supporting Ms. VanCamp and perhaps stirring the pot here and there, but in my opinion, when it comes to style, he’s leading the way in keeping the show fashion forward. I hate to be stereotypical, because he IS bisexual, but he’s simply fabulous! Any guys out there who are thinking of writing a letter into Style Quirk for advice should first turn to Mr. Ross and see what he does, then follow suit.

I can’t even count the number of questions I’ve been asked now that I could simply answer with “just turn on ABC Wednesdays at 9:00.” This is even more true as of late, because while Revenge has mostly taken place during the summer, it has recently gone into the winter, and Nolan’s fashions have evolved just as naturally. Gone are the white day suits for Hamptons parties, and in are the new button-down plaid shirts. You may have noticed, but both of these looks can easily go south without the proper measures. Even the youngest, hippest guy could look like a grandpa in either of these fashions, but Nolan knows how to keep it light. He always combines classic looks with contemporary accents. Granted, he’s supposed to be a millionaire, so he has access to any and every kind of look out there, but the basic rules of fashion stay true across all budgets.

There are only a few episodes left of Revenge this season, but I would recommend catching up this season if you’re behind. Like I said, you can literally follow him from Labor Day to Christmas and basically take a free class in Fashion for Men Through the Seasons. Another fashionista to check out? Daniel Grayson, played by Joshua Bowman. While Nolan’s fashions look just intentional enough, Daniel’s look totally effortless, but just as perfect!
