Who Will Look Lovely at the Oscars?

The Oscars are airing this weekend, and it’s time to start wondering who’s going to be wearing what and who will be looking fierce. Billy Crystal is hosting, and it looks like he’s had some Botox in preparation for the honor. I can’t say I blame him, but in this day and age of HD, unstoppable gossip columns and Perez Hilton, I don’t know if it was such a good idea to go so overboard. But I don’t want to be picky, because he’s taking one for the team even showing up (if you don’t know the backstory there, that’s for a whole other article). Anyway, the always-fabulous likes of Sofia Vergara and Emma Stone likely won’t be at this ceremony (or they won’t be featured heavily, anyway), so it’s up to the stars of the silver screen to bring their fashionista A game. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that the most stylish women will be the stars of The Help. I’ve seen Viola Davis at more than one red carpet now, and she knows how to look both refined and sexy. Regardless of what she wears, the lowest grade she’ll be awarded by the Fashion Police is likely to be a B+. I assume that Octavia Spencer will be looking just as good, but perhaps a bit toned down. Where Viola Davis is touch trendy, Octavia is more low-key. Lastly, we can always expect Jessica Chastain to churn out some great fashion. Her ethereal qualities will shine through. Though she hasn’t been to many award shows yet, she never fails to bring it. On the men’s side, George Clooney will likely hold down his reigning title as most dapper gentleman, so there’s not too much to talk about, but I would be willing to bet that Michael Fassbender turns a head or two this year.
