Look What I Found on eBay!
Ebay is great place for buying and selling all kinds of things – dresses, collectibles, cars, just about anything. But there’s also some really wacky stuff – celebrity shaped food, weird costumes, and general strangeness. I love looking for crazy items up for sale, and I was doing that last night. I was just surfing eBay looking for amusing auctions, and I found some of the best ones! Here’s a list of the craziest stuff on eBay I could find.
1) Spam hat – I’m wondering what kind of person dresses up as Spam for Halloween. Or if you’re not using this hat for a costume, what in the world could you possibly use it for? As far as I know, there aren’t any sports teams that have Spam mascots or any parties where Spam is appropriate party attire. But hey, if you can’t go ham, go spam I guess. Kanye really missed out on this fad, I think.
2) The next item requires a little more explaining. If you don’t know what a prepper is, let me fill you in. Preppers are people who are getting ready for the zombie apocalypse, the regular apocalypse, or plain old anarchy. Any massive chaotic event. They collect guns, canned foods, manuals, and generally learn to survive in the post-fallout/apocalyptic world. Ebay is full of items for these guys, but this one caught my eye. Booby traps. They’re intended for zombies and insurgents, or that annoying next door neighbor that’s forever making you fruit cake. These barbed wire traps are heavy-duty and ready to snatch up the next zombie that groans into your backyard. Warning: Do not set in heavy wildlife areas; may trap angry bears or moose.
3) Ah – the newest fad in housewifery – extreme couponing. It’s all over the web, TV, and home magazines. But it’s also on eBay. How, you ask? By selling coupons, duh! This, in my mind, defeats the purpose of couponing. If you’re paying for coupons, then…doesn’t that negate any savings they have? I don’t know, I’m eighteen, so “coupon” is just another word in my vocabulary. I don’t go grocery shopping enough to know. But I did giggle a little bit when I came across these toilet paper coupons. It’s funny in an immature way, and you know it.
4) The last item on the list is probably the most silly – a soap sculpture book. It’s full of pictures and diagrams and instructions on how to sculpt soap. I’m betting Michael Angelo is upset at missing out on this one. Or Squidward; that guy always seems to have trouble as an artist.
Ebay is certainly the place to buy all kinds of things…including all that weird stuff you always wondered about. You should start looking around on the site sometimes, because it’s hilarious!
