Christmas Party Victory

in category of Lifestyle, Weight Loss with Leo, Leo Pond

If you have been following me and my progress, you should know I am down almost 70 pounds this year! I owe this triumph to a couple of factors. One being my lifestyle change in August after the loss of my wife. That loss made me look at myself in a new light and I found the drive to take charge of my life and begin anew.Read More »

Some very sad news was announced last week: the free version of Google Apps is no longer accepting new user requests. If you were lucky enough to create an account before 12/7/2012, you are grandfathered into the free service with a limit of 10 users. Unfortunately, if you did not, then the service will now cost you $5 per user per month or $50 per user per year.Read More »

in category of Lifestyle, Weight Loss with Leo, Leo Pond

Ahh, this was a crazy week! I survived Hurricane Sandy, but there's still no power, running water or heat, and damn, is it getting cold! The worst thing about this storm is it threw me off my game for weight loss. No power means no food, and I am sure as hell not touching the canned stuff. Thank you, but I like my sodium levels where they are. So what is a guy to do?

That is what I cannot stress the most; if you are in a position where you need to lose weight and become healthier, it all starts within you.Read More »

Bieber jailed for causing fever outbreak that lead to the Zombie Apocolypse!

In what seems to be the weirdest news this week, Bieber Fever has lead to the start of the Zombie Apocalypse! The zombie mayhem started in Florida of all places. Theorists are considering the idea that the zombies are merely elderly retirees fleeing en mass from a Bieber concert that they thought was a line for flu shots against a so-called "Bieber Fever!"

I hate to admit it, I almost never go to the movie theater.  The last movie I saw at the theater was J.J.'s Star Trek, which was fantastic!  With long hours at work and so many other mediums of entertainment I can see, I often wonder how can the average person go to the movies on a regular basis.Read More »

U.S. Military Bombs Texas?

in category of Weird News, Leo Pond

Yesterday, the town of Killeen needed to evacuate many residents. More than 100 homes were evacuated due to a military accident -- an Apache helicopter accidentally let go of a training M36 missile. While the missile was harmless, residents were not aware of that news right away. Imagine the horror of seeing a military copter drop a missile on American soil!

No one was injured in the accident; Killeen police responded and quickly removed residents from the area where the large missile hit the ground.Read More »

Is This a New Nintendo Wii U Controller?

in category of Gaming, Leo Pond

They say a picture is worth a thousand words; well, what is this picture worth? Only posted on Twitter and quickly retracted, people are passing around the image as a new look at the Wii U. Some have compared the controller with what was shown at the last E3 and say that the controller is  more like the 3DS, with full-scale thumbsticks and a wider screen along with extra buttons. The Wii U is scheduled to have a grand showing at the next E3 in June, along with a winter launch of the system.Read More »
