Jeans have taken a bit of a backseat during the holidays, but they are still one of this year’s hottest trends. They have crossed over all seasons and will be taking us right into the New Year. The economy has transformed even the most fabulously hardcore fashionistas into frugalistas. I don’t know who came up with it, but frugalista really does sound much more glamorous than bargain hunter. These days a shopping spree can actually mean purchasing only one item. I think you should always keep a few items at work to take care of any wardrobe emergencies. Things happen – like a drastic change of temperature in the office, spilling coffee on your blouse, tearing your stockings, or (hooray!) the unexpected after-work date. The items I have kept handy in the past have included an extra sweater or shirt, safety pins, needle and thread, and a mini makeup kit. Sequins have been a hot fashion trend practically all year, and I’m willing to bet they will be taking us right into the holidays.
